Segurança e saúde

A segurança é fundamental para o objetivo da nossa empresa de ser a empresa de gás industrial mais segura, mais diversificada e mais rentável do mundo. Acreditamos também que se trata de uma obrigação moral. Queremos que os nossos empregados regressem a casa para junto das suas famílias em segurança e com saúde. O nosso objetivo continua a ser zero acidentes e zero incidentes.

As nossas convicções sobre segurança foram instituídas durante décadas através dos nossos Valores de Segurança Total , que sublinham que nada é mais importante do que a segurança e que a adesão à segurança é uma condição de emprego. A nossa atual liderança construiu sobre esta base sólida, tornando-nos uma empresa ainda mais segura.

Melhorámos a nossa taxa de acidentes com baixa em 58% e a nossa taxa de acidentes registáveis em 38% desde 2014.

Product Safety

Essential to product safety is ensuring that customers and others handling our products have complete safety information. Safety information from our product safety reviews is used in safety data sheets (SDS), which are a primary vehicle for communicating hazards information. We also comply with EU REACH legislation and share product hazards through labels that are compliant with the Globally Harmonized System (GHS), internally-developed Safetygrams and customer training.

Safety training can be arranged by contacting your sales representative. If you are not sure who your sales representative is, call our Customer Service Organization at 800-224-2724, and they will be glad to help you contact your representative. People and Culture

We are focused on attracting, building and retaining a world-class and highly skilled workforce to deliver on our growth ambitions. Our overarching goal is to be the most diverse industrial gas company in the world, and we are working every day to build a workforce that reflects the places where we do business. 

We are creating a work environment where every employee knows they belong and matter. Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (DIB) are embedded throughout our company and demonstrated by our leadership commitment and extensive programs. For example, we engage with external diversity partners to support talent and development within our organization and have 13 Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) that provide connections and build affinities between groups of employees while enabling exposure to different career paths.  

In FY22, we increased the representation of women in senior leadership to 23 percent, up from 20 percent in FY21. We also increased the representation of U.S. minorities in our workforce to 28 percent, up from 26 percent in FY21. Relative to our 2025 diversity goals, we maintained female representation at 26 percent in our professional and managerial population globally and increased the percentage of U.S. minorities in these roles to 25 percent, up from 22 percent in FY21. We remain committed to achieving our 2025 diversity goals.

Communities

For over 80 years, Air Products has been building relationships and contributing to the well-being of our host communities around the world. We do this in a variety of ways: through financial contributions from the Air Products Foundation, in-kind donations, employee directed giving, and employee volunteerism with non-profit organizations. Our support priorities include education and workforce development, diversity and inclusion, health and human services, community and economic development, arts and culture, and environment and safety. We work closely with community partners, including non-profit organizations, emergency responders, elected officials, and education, business, and community leaders to identify the highest impact opportunities.
